The Lovable

What we love about the film is that it talks on point and all natural. Napaka inviting ng vibe, and the colors wow fantastic! Minahal din namin si Denzel, parang ang sarap niyang kausap. Naaliw kami kay Ma-an dahil aminin, madami sa atin ang may claim to fame. The romantic Hadji Sarip just wow! parang may kilala akong same ng work niya, parang gusto ko ring magwork ng ganun. At ito talaga ang standout, the Easy Ferrer and Tony The Sharky seen, ang ganda ng eksenang iyon kuhang kuha kami, no to spoiler so figure it yourself!






Strong Point

Nagsimulang lumalim ang hugot ng pelikula nung ipinakilala si Denzel Zapata. His story talks to most of the millenials nowadays,( as if I wasn't born on that era) anyways, medyo ganun na medyo hindi din naman ako ganun. Pero mas mabilis kumonekta ang karakter niya sa audience. Plus the charming look of Jerome Ponce dalang dala niya yung karakter. Albie Casiño and Myrtle Saroza were equally good actors. Also, the battle cry of the film grabe, ang powerful!



The Grey-area

I don't know with you guys, pero Myrtle Saroza's Character, Junamae is the grey area for me. Parang may gustong sabihin yung character niya pero mahirap kumunekta sa audience yung karakter unlike others. But it doesn't mean she's not good, its more of a mystery? Mysteries sa film can both be good and bad depende sa audience.






The Statement

Kurt's character sum up this generation's battle cry and struggles. Grabe, hindi namin nakita na paparating yun, ang ganda ng pagkakatahi. Ramdam yung eksena, ramdam yung nagsusumigaw na statement!





Realizations:

1. Achievements. Hindi nakukuha overnight tinatrabaho yan.
2. Practice work life balance, wag mo hayaang ma-burnout ka.
3. Labels. It means exclusivity but, we do not own each other, minsan labels equals complication pero sa ba it works.
4. No one is ever enough. Kahit gawin mo yung best mo siguradong meron at merong mas magaling kaysa sayo.
5. Work vs Worth. It's okay to work and skip work but always know the worth of your choice.
6. Commitment. Big word, pero ito yung bagay na hindi dapat pilit.
7. Tropa. Napaka-90s ng word pero sobrang mahalaga. Depende lang kung sino ang tropa mo.
8. Trials. It's there to strengthen the bond.
9. Friendship. Hindi lang ito basta label, ito ay pinagsama-samang commitment, respect, love and trust.
10. Differences. Lahat tayo may kanya kanyang pinagdaraanan, so learn how to listen closely and attentively.

Bawal judgemental, makinig muna at magmasid.

Kuwaresma

#KuwaresmaMovie a film by Erik Matti and released under Globe Studios and Reality Entertainment, which happens to be The Megastar, Sharon Cuneta’s first ever horror movie. The film talks about how dark our mind could be. Firstly, The story was set on the late 1980’s which is about the horror inside Fajardo’s Residence. We in INDIE Pelikula / Cine Silip, enjoyed the story-telling and how twisted it was. Technical aspects: The sound effects worked for us. We simply lose track on how many times we screamed.  Thus, we even tried to tuck ourselves in our seats because of the (terrifying and melancholic) sounds. I, personally, look around to check our surroundings again-that is how beautiful, effective, and terrifying the sounds were. As for its visuals, we agreed that it was outstanding! Before the year ends and before the MMFF 2019  begin here's our list of "Must Watch Filipino Movies in 2019" in no particular order. A. John Denver Trending Named as 2019 Cinemalaya Best Film.  A story of a boy who's a victim of a trending video on facebook about bullying. Condez' effectively shown the audience the impact of misjudgment and bullying. Soriano, who played the mother to the lead actor, Jansen Magpusao was very effective. The newcomer, Magpusao was named the Best Actor of the festival. B. Sila - Sila Sila-Sila, a simple film about our connection to the people around us. The movie doesn't have the usual big confrontational scene, yet you'll find yourself noding in almost every scene. Though the lead characters are gay, it still resonate across all genders and that is the magic of Sila-Sila.
